A Time to Change

February 10th, 2005

The Inaccurate Tourist was a quick little title that I made up for my travel log when I moved to France. It was only meant to stay there at the top for a couple of weeks until I thought of a new and clever name.

I never did.

The Irrelevant Tourist was a little take-off of the original Inaccurate Tourist. I dunno. I don’t really like it that much.

The Inqualified Scientist made a couple of guest appearances. I hoped he would show up with some diagrams. He was also going to explain the framework for a millennium of Western music, but he got boring. Plus he cut his thumb, and most of his best work was done on a thumb keyboard.

However, I haven’t grown attached to the names. At all.

I hate them. They are irrelevant, inaccurate and inqualified.

Any suggestions? Anything that doesn’t suck? Something that suggests everything about me, Tin Foiled?

    How about “The Pustulant Braggart”

or “Skrabaphile” because you’re a Skraba who’s interested in all things Skraba, and it sounds
like ‘Skraba Files’ the little known precursor
to the X Files and CSI that was filmed in Medical Chapeau and featured Rita McNeal as “Agricultural Officer Margaret Tunny” and Alan Thicke as an “itinerant Medical Examiner Skraba, Reginald
Skraba” who investigated strange phenomena like
cows with spots that looked like John A McDonald and chickens that diedunder mysterious circumstances.

    or, “I have a Tri-Band Hat”

or, “Nexus of Technologee in Apogee” (no, I don’t know what it means either)

    or, “Luddite Apologist”

or, “And then I ate the Luddite for Dinner”

or, “Luddites go nicely with bree and fish sauce”

    or, “Will Quisling for Robots”

or, “Does my PDA clash with my jaunty scarf?”

or, “Proprietor: Land of Robots and Fine Dining”

    or, “Read and Obey, Peons!!”

That’s all I got. I don’t think that any of it fully captures the essence of you, TinFoiled.

Hmm, am I being too abusive to my audience? The Pustulant Braggart indeed. Something to think about…

I was thinking “And This Too Shall Suck”, but apparently it’s taken.
